Solent NHS Trust Special Care Dental Service has the opportunity for you!

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, highly motivated Dental Nurse to work in our clinic in Cowes on the Isle of Wight. The role is for 30 hours worked over four days. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside Dentists, Dental Therapists, and the wider team to provide an efficient service for our special care patients.

The Special Care Dental Service provides care under conscious sedation, general anaesthesia as well as domiciliary care and makes a great difference across the community to patients with dental phobias to children and adults with learning disabilities.

The successful candidate will be required to be confident, able to work under pressure and have the ability to communicate effectively, delivering care with dignity and respect in a kind and compassionate manner.

Applicants must have the NVQ or Equivalent in Dental Nursing and be registered with the GDC. It is important that applicants are able to demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills. Excellent IT and organisational skills are also essential.
