Alder Hey Children’s NHS Foundation Trust is a provider of specialist health care to over 275,000 children and young people each year. In addition to the hospital site located in the West Derby area of Liverpool, Alder Hey has a presence in community outreach sites and, in collaboration with other providers, our clinicians help deliver care closer to patients’ homes by holding local clinics at locations from Cumbria to Shropshire, in Wales and the Isle of Man. The Trust also provides inpatient care for children with complex mental health needs at our Alder Park building in the nearby borough of Sefton.

We currently have more than 4,000 staff working across our community and hospital sites. We’re also a teaching and training hospital providing education and training to around 540 medical and over 500 nursing and allied health professional students each year.

DBS checks will be completed every three years during your employment with the Trust and the cost of these checks will be deducted from your pay and you will be given the opportunity to pay this over three instalments.

Alternatively if you are registered with the DBS Update Service at the same level required for your employment with the Trust there will no requirement to complete a DBS and no further cost applied by the Trust as payment will be made by yourself directly to the DBS Update Service.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join the Recruitment & Employment Services Team within the Human Resources Department at Alder Hey NHS Foundation Trust.

The post holder will provide administrative support and best practice advice on recruitment and employment services to managers and staff across the Trust, incorporating all aspects of the employee life cycle

Applicants should be able to demonstrate willingness and a capability to learn, possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will possess good time management and administrative skills and the ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines. You must be able to work on your own initiative and priorities your workload in an organised and methodical style. Having the ability to work to deadlines, whilst maintaining accuracy and consistency of data and ensuring the data is credible and robust is a vital aspect of this post.

Experience of using ESR and NHS jobs is desirable but not essential for the role.
