The post holder will join our established multi-disciplinary specialist team at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust.

The current team provide specialist diabetes care across 4 divisions within both inpatient and outpatient services.

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual who will be committed to leading the team and developing services to ensure people with diabetes receive high quality care.

You will need an in-depth clinical knowledge of diabetes, which should be supported by recent experience/qualifications and the ability to initiate and titrate injectable treatments and oral diabetes medications competently.

You will also have evidence of excellent leadership skills and change management.

Experience in most aspects of diabetes care and the ability to work autonomously within a supportive multidisciplinary diabetes team is essential. You will have on going responsibility for a patient caseload and will be expected to make informed clinical decisions, working within a comprehensive range of services including a large ante natal and insulin pump services and a community nurse led clinic.
