Applications are invited for a Medical Laboratory Assistant in the Point of Care Testing Team based in the Pathology Department at the North Devon District Hospital.

The post is part time 18.75 hours per week Mon-Fri at AFC band 3.

The Point of Care Testing team consists of three staff that look after analytical equipment, primarily for NDHT but also other organisations e.g. GP's. The team provides general support, training, quality assurance and the associated administration for a range of equipment e.g. blood gas analysers and blood glucose monitors.

Previous experience is not essential, as training will be provided, but neatness, an attention to detail and good communication skills are required and keyboard skills would be an advantage.

The applicant will be expected to work with biological material.
