Foundation Pharmacist Band 6 / 7 Progression

The Pharmacy Department has opportunities for enthusiastic and committed pharmacists to join our Pharmacy Team. The Pharmacy Department is a busy but friendly, progressive and expanding unit, which is dedicated to providing World Class standards of pharmaceutical care to all of our patients.

You will work closely with and be fully supported by the divisional and service lead pharmacists and their teams. The successful candidate will have the patient at the centre of all they do, possess good communication skills and be able to work well as part of a multidisciplinary team.

A structured training and development programme will be provided offering rotations through specialities such as Medicine, Surgery, Paediatrics, Cancer Services, Critical Care and Medicines Information. Dispensary duties will also be included. After a period of embedding as a clinical pharmacist, you will be required to undertake a diploma in Clinical Pharmacy.

You will need to be organised, well-motivated and have excellent communication and people skills, as well as the ability to adapt quickly to new situations.

You must be, or about to be, registered as a Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC). Applications are welcome from all sectors of pharmacy practice, including community, primary care, industry and academia.

These are full time posts, with commitment required to evening, weekend, Bank Holiday and on-call duties as per rota.

Our main sites are Ashford Hospital, TW15 3AA near to Heathrow Airport and St Peter’s Hospital, KT16 0RQ which is close to junction 11, M25. We also operate services at Woking Bradley Unit and Milford Hospital. A free shuttle bus service operates between Ashford & St Peter’s Hospitals.
