We have an exciting opportunity for a full time (37.5 hours per week) Band 6 children’s physiotherapist to develop their clinical skills in the community setting within our integrated therapy team. Solent provides children’s therapy to children living across Hampshire including Portsmouth and Southampton cities where this post will based in the South East Hampshire locality. We would also consider a Band 5 Physiotherapist as a developmental opportunity to Band 6.

Solent Integrated Children’s Therapy service is for children aged 0-19 who experience challenges with Physical disability, daily functional activities, eating and drinking skills, speech, language and communication.

This is a community service delivered in children’s homes, pre-school settings, Children’s Centres, mainstream schools, special schools, and community clinics.

Physiotherapists, podiatry, Occupational Therapists and Speech and Language Therapists work together with children and their families as part of multi-agency teams with Health Care professionals across acute and community services, Education, social care colleagues and Equipment providers, to enable children achieve their therapy goals.

Solent NHS trust is committed to working as an integrated team, within health, education, social care and others working with the child and family. We will offer you support to develop into the role through, regular clinical supervision and joint working, in-service training, away days, regular management supervision linked to appraisals and identifying learning / training needs with opportunities for Continued Professional Development.

Excellent communication skills and a passion for integrated working are vital. Own transport essential.
