This is an exciting opportunity to join our IAPT team at Open Minds.

Open Minds was established in February 2008 and has rapidly developed in line with changes to modernise mental health services in North East Lincolnshire. Since 2009 Open Minds has also provided the Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) service for North East Lincolnshire. The service provides low and high intensity CBT interventions, EMDR, Couples Therapy for Depression, Counselling for Depression and Interpersonal Therapy. The clinical team consists of High Intensity therapists, Counsellors, Interpersonal Therapists and Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners. The management team consists of Senior PWPs, a Long Term Conditions Lead, Senior Counsellor, Team Managers, Clinical Lead and Service Manager. Open Minds’ Long Term Conditions service has been well established since 2012 and an Employment Advisor team that launched in March 2019.

We are looking for motivated and passionate CBT therapists to join the team of existing High Intensity therapists. Applicants will either have accreditation with the British Association for Behavioural & Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP) or be eligible for accreditation. Band 6 candidates who are eligible for BABCP accreditation will have the opportunity to work towards Band 7 once accredited. Post holders with full or preliminary accreditation will be eligible for payment within the band 7 pay scale.

Clinicians are actively involved with service development, marketing and service promotion. As a member of staff you will receive weekly clinical supervision, and separate line management supervision. Weekly team meetings range from Clinical Skills sessions, Group Supervision and both team and relevant modality meetings. Staff are also provided excellent training and development opportunities for their role, identified within yearly Personal and Professional Development Reviews.

Open Minds currently provides a hybrid of both remote therapy and treatment in person, with clinicians working a combination of their time from home and based in the office.
