Leeds One Workforce is a ground-breaking collaboration of Leeds health, care and university partners to create a single, joined up approach for the health and care workforce in the city.


The innovative model for the Leeds One Workforce team was developed by the city in recognition that a step change was needed to tackle the workforce challenges we see nationally, and in Leeds. Leeds One Workforce will maximise the opportunities a joined-up approach can provide.


As part of our exciting portfolio of work to support our strategic workforce priorities, we have a unique opportunity for a Leeds One Workforce Manager. Working as part of the Leeds One Workforce team, you will model the values and behaviours to help us to achieve our ambition to be a healthy and caring city for all ages, where people who are the poorest, improve their health the fastest. 


This role is key to the success of the team, and you will have a generalist HR/ Workforce background, as well as being able to provide effective project management. You’ll be used to leading a small team of core and flexible people. You’ll work autonomously, managing a varied and busy workload, and able to deliver quality work.  A born communicator, you’ll be adept in developing relationships across our health and care partners. The range of stakeholders includes health commissioning CCGs, Leeds City Council Adults and Children’s Social Care, the three health trusts’, independent and voluntary sector providers, and educational institutions in the city.  


You will model the values important to us, lead by example and be skilled at managing an evolving, complex portfolio to deliver workforce solutions. Leeds One Workforce is a small team, if you join us, you'll be in a fantastic position to develop your career experience across a breadth of workforce topics and build relationships across a range of partners in Leeds.

If you are offered a position, you may be required to undertake a DBS. The Trust will administer the DBS check on your behalf and will recover the cost (Enhanced £48 or Standard £30) from your salary over a 3 month period (including Internal staff). You will also be required to participate in the DBS Update Service and pay the £13 cost per year. This is a condition of your employment. DBS checks for volunteers are free.
