Solent NHS Trust is seeking enthusiastic Healthcare Support Workers to join our teams within our Older Persons Mental Health Inpatient Units, The Limes in Portsmouth. The purpose of these units are to support individuals with a range of Mental Health Needs  with assessing, planning, and delivering excellent, person centred care.

Solent’s Mental Health Services cover a variety of different services including inpatient facilities for both adults and older persons, community services including rehab, crisis and health and wellbeing, IAPT Talking Change and learning disabilities. We are looking for people that work to the organisational Values of Honesty, Everyone Counts, Accountability, Respect and Teamwork (HEART), show in your behaviour that you value people and the care you give to them.

All AMH residential services are based just outside of the St James Hospital site and work collaboratively to offer a seamless journey for patients based upon their needs and risks to ensure that care and treatment is assessed and provided in the least restrictive environment. These units cover the Portsmouth area which provides high quality care and treatment.

You will need to have good communication and people skills along with a flexible and responsive approach as well as a genuine interest in working within this rewarding area of mental health nursing.

You must be able to work shifts, days, nights and weekends as per the duty rota when required. We're looking for Full Time staff however part time hours may be considered. In addition, you will also be required to undertake Prevention and Management of Violence and Aggression (PMVA) training, which requires a reasonable level of fitness which will be assessed before being able to undertake this training.

Some previous experience is desirable though not essential.
