Vacancy Detail

Band 3 Business Assistant, 22.5 Hours per week, 12 Month Fixed Term Contract. The team are currently working from home, with an expectation that ad-hoc travel to bases across the county maybe required.The service hours are 9.00 - 5.00, Monday - Friday and the successful applicant will need to work 22.5 hours in line with the service hours/need with flexibility to work additional days as part of a cover arrangements if required.

The Team

You will be joining a well-established admin team who provide support for the 0-19 clinical team who provide Public Health nursing across Leicestershire and Rutland. As a Business Assistant you will be supporting Managers and Leaders across Healthy Together as part of a team of established Business Assistants who support the wider County Healthy Together Family Service Managers and Clinical Team Leaders.

The Role

The role is diverse, with each day bringing new challenges. You will have a proven ability in using your own initiative. Working with confidential and highly sensitive information you must show attention to detail and the ability to work accurately, whilst understanding the importance of adhering to Trust Policies and local procedures. A confident, professional personality with a can do attitude will be an asset.

The successful candidate will have experience of working in a secretarial/assistant capacity and be able to work supportively with others to assist the management team in maximising the efficient use of their time and the resources of the service. Some travel may be required at times to support with meetings and minute taking off-site.

Due to the fast pace and nature of the work, the post holder would be required to have the essential knowledge and experience and be able to demonstrate within the following areas:

  • Previous experiences of working in an administrative/business support function in an office environment.
  • GCSE in English Language and Maths Grade C/4 or above.
  • Highly skilled in all Microsoft Office Packages.
  • NVQ/RQF Level 3 in administration or able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge and experience in delivering an efficient administrative service.
  • Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills.
  • Adopt a flexible, self-motivated approach to work.
  • An ability to communicate sensitively and effectively at all levels.
  • Previous experience of organisation, facilitation and recording of meetings.
  • An ability to prioritise work reactively and be confident working independently.
