Pharmacist
An exciting and challenging opportunity has arisen for highly motivated Pharmacist to join the team at our Oaklands, Fulwood Hall and our brand new day case facility Buckshaw Hospital.
We welcome applications from Pharmacists working in both hospital and primary care sectors including community pharmacy.
The Role:
Working as part of the wider clinical team to provide a high standard of efficient, individualised patient care. Adhering to all of Ramsay’s policies and procedures to ensure the best possible clinical outcomes for patients. A strong advocate of the Ramsay Way and People Caring for People.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Clinical screening and clinical service to wards
  • Safe supply of medicines (inc. dispensing and checking)
  • Safe and secure stock management including procurement.
  • Management of Pharmacy Technician support.
  • Providing pharmaceutical advice to patients/carers and clinical staff.
  • Support to medicines governance, including audit and advice on policy and procedures.
  • Adhering to GPhC Standards of conduct, ethics and performance
  • Ensuring accurate and legal dispensing and issue of prescriptions for inpatients and outpatients as specified in Ramsay Health Care Policies and Procedures
  • What you will bring:
  • Current General Pharmaceutical Council registration as a Pharmacist
  • Sound written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required
  • Flexibility to work across the 2 sites
  • Demonstrated Customer Service skills
