Solent Mind run the italk service in partnership with Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust which is one of the largest Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) services in the country.

STEP 2 ASSISTANT PSYCHOLOGICAL WELLBEING PRACTITIONERS

Hours: 37 Hours Per Week (Part Time Hours Also Considered)

Salary: £19,880 to £21,409 (Pro Rata) Per Annum

Location: Either Eastleigh (West Hub)/Gosport (East Hub)/Basingstoke (North Hub)(Please State Preference On Application)

In this role you will support the Step 2 Clinical Team at italk, which presents an ideal opportunity for psychology graduates or mental health workers to work in an IAPT service.

Primarily the post holders will deliver treatments to patients through groups and cCBT, so excellent presentation skills, IT skills and a good level of written and spoken English are essential. You will also provide administrative support to the clinical team, which will enable you to gain a deeper understanding of the IAPT model and develop your clinical skills and knowledge.

Initially the role will be based at our Contact Centre/West locality hub in Eastleigh and then will be based in one of our locality hubs in Eastleigh, Basingstoke or Gosport. It is an expectation that Practitioners will also facilitate weekly group treatments via webinar/ face to face and work a minimum of 1-2 evenings per week.

You will need to be highly motivated and resilient to cope with the demands of working in this large, high volume service. Successful candidates will also need to have strong communication skills, professional telephone manner and excellent organisational skills.
