Outpatient Receptionist

£18,005 - £19,337 per annum pro rata

The Outpatient Department at North Devon District Hospital have an opportunity for 3 Receptionists working 37.5 hours per week, the hours are to be worked over 4 days, Monday to Sunday, according to service need. Working hours are 2 x days 8.00am - 17.45pm and 8.00am - 17.30pm.

The available positions are as followed:

x1 Substantive post working 37.5 hours per week


x1 Fixed Term post (12 months) working 37.5 hours per week


x1 Fixed Term post (6 months) working 37.5 hours per week

The post holders will reception all the various areas within outpatients and complete the admin processes that are associated with this role. The post holder will ensure that where possible all outcomes are completed on the day and clinical notes are prepped for the following day’s clinics. The post holder will also book any future appointments that patients require. This is a busy department and the successful candidate must be able to flexible to last minute changes to meet service need.
