Delivered through over 100 settings from inpatient wards to out in the community, our 6,500 staff serves over 1m people living in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.


Band 5 Occupational Therapist

1.0 WTE 37.5hrs

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Occupational Therapist to join our established, motivated and forward thinking Occupational Therapy Service. A therapist is required to work within the Community Teams, providing proactive support to individuals with Learning Disabilities and additional health needs in line with the service’s care pathway working including ASD, PBS, Dementia, Physical Health, Epilepsy, Mental Health, Forensic and Eating and drinking.

This post will offer you the opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary team approach, in a variety of settings, providing specific healthcare interventions.

Effective communication and organisational skills are essential; the successful candidate will demonstrate confidence, self-awareness and an enthusiasm to work with this client group. Opportunities for personal and professional development exist through supervision, support, sharing of best practice and continuing professional development.

Post will work Monday to Friday: 8:15am to 4:15pm

For areas where our teams work to staffing rosters, rosters are set in advance at a team level and you will be joining an established roster. Your rostered shifts will be confirmed to you when arranging your start date. We will consider requests to vary working patterns in line with our flexible working policy.

To make the most of your application, we may consider successful applicants for vacancies for the same post in different locations where this is appropriate and meets our mutual requirements.

For all substantive roles the appointment of every new member of staff (excluding medical and dental staff) to a post is subject to a 6 month probationary period, details of which are in our Probation Policy.
