We are pleased to announce an exciting opportunity has arisen within our ‘Best Start Leadership Team’ as part of the Children’s 0-19 Public Health Nursing Service’. We are looking for individuals with experience in Health Visiting/ School Nursing/Social Worker/Midwifery or relevant experience/qualification of working within a community setting with a relevant service user group.

We are continuing to build and expand our leadership team here at CityCare and if successful you will become part of our ‘Best Start Leadership Team’.

Here at CityCare Children’s services we are in the process of transforming our public health service delivery model to better meet the needs of children, young people and families from 0-19 years old. We have an ambition to offer a seamless pathway for care and support centred on the family. We want to deliver the right person for the right need to ensure our families receive timely, effective, quality care.

As a result, this role will introduce you to the elements of first line management of the skill mixed Community Public Heath 0-19 Nursing team which includes, Specialists Community Public Health Nurses (previously known as Health Visitors and School Nurses) Family Nurses who deliver a national programme to our first-time pregnant young mothers, Infant nutrition support workers and a range of support staff.

To help us achieve our vision, we are looking for a dynamic individual with a current sound clinical knowledge base and/or experience within your core profession (NMC registrant and/or relevant experience/qualification of working within a community setting with a relevant service user group). We are looking for highly motivated, resilient, organised individuals who have exceptional communication skills, and have a solution, strength based focus. We would be looking for positive role modelling in your leadership style to provide staff with a compassionate and capable leader.

In return, we will be able to offer you senior leadership support via a Clinical Service manager who will act as your mentor whilst you learn your new role supported by our Heads of Clinical service. Training and development opportunities will be encorporated within your induction programme including relevant shadowing and opportunity to tailor your personal induction programme to your specific learning needs.
