GP with Special Interest in Contraception and Sexual Health

2.5 Programmed Activities

Fixed term for 6 months

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a GP with special interest or a speciality doctor in Sexual Health to come and work for Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland Sexual Health Service.

 

We are looking to recruit to 2.5 sessions

  • Thursday (9am – 7pm)

We are seeking an exceptional candidate with strong leadership and management skills to play a major part in delivering a high quality, innovative, integrated sexual health model of care for the population served by the Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland Sexual Health Service.

The main duties will be the provision of a broad range of sexual health services covering the triage, assessment and management of contraception and GU medicine for the population of Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.

The post is suitable for an individual with comprehensive clinical experience of contraception and GU medicine, strong team-working skills and a keen interest in research, training, education and service development. The postholder must have comprehensive clinical experience of GU medicine and dual trained in contraception holding Letter of competence (LoC) in sub-dermal implants and in intrauterine techniques

The post-holder must hold a Primary Medical Qualification or equivalent and full General Medical Council GMC) registration.

You will join an enthusiastic and friendly team with 4 consultant (excluding this post), associate specialist and specialty doctors. The unit is ably supported by integrated sexual health nurses, HCA team, administrative support and management team.
