We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and highly motivated Psychologist to join our Community Psychology department. The Clinical / Counselling Psychologist will work primarily alongside other Psychologists and Psychological Therapists, working into multi-disciplinary community teams. The Psychology team provides a comprehensive range of assessment and intervention services to adults with complex needs. The service is committed to delivering a high quality provision to users and carers.


The post involves providing evidence-based therapy to service users that come under the Community Psychology service. The post holder will work closely within the Community Mental Health Services, providing clinical guidance and advice to multi-disciplinary colleagues. Some group interventions and staff training may also be required.

Ideally candidates would have experience delivering evidence-based therapies for a range of mental health disorders, however where required, further training opportunities will be provided. This post also offers opportunity for development to a Senior Psychologist within a 2-year period.

We are seeking someone with excellent communication skills, a high level of computer literacy and a passion and interest for working therapeutically with adults with complex needs and being part of a multi-disciplinary setting.

 

All positions are subject to the receipt of satisfactory references and medical clearance. Evidence of valid professional registration and appropriate DBS clearances will also be required where relevant. All posts will also be subject to successful completion of a 12 week probationary period.
