First Contact Practitioner Physiotherapist

Job Reference: J291-A-21-0468

Employer:
Viaduct Care CIC
Department:
First Contact Physiotherapy
Location:
Stockport
Salary:
Band 8

Our team is growing and we would love for you to join us. Following on from a successful first few years of growth in our First Contact Practitioner (FCP) service Viaduct Care CIC is looking to expand further its existing FCP team within the Stockport Primary Care Networks (PCNs).

We are looking for additional enthusiastic physiotherapists, either working at an advance level or ready to take that next step, to join our experienced team of Band 7 and 8A Advanced Practitioners delivering FCP clinics within local GP practices.

Band 8A - various posts / hours available.

You will work closely with the practices to include First Contact Physiotherapy as part of our patient offer. This will include seeing patients, without prior contact with their GP, to establish a rapid and accurate diagnosis and management plan and is an ideal role for a motivated individual who is passionate about delivering high quality, joined up clinical management of musculoskeletal conditions.

Patients are signposted directly to the FCP clinics by GP reception and practice staff and you will be providing frontline expert screening, assessment and management including diagnostics and injection therapy.

Regular clinical supervision, mentoring and professional development is a key part of the service in keeping with the FCP road map and MSK competency framework; weekly team meetings are diarised with in- service training and case discussion.

Viaduct Care has a commitment to being a pioneering leader in Primary Care, providing collaborative, high quality, health and wellbeing services for the communities we serve.

Since the First Contact Physiotherapy service started in 2018 Viaduct has progressed band 7 clinicians into developing 8a roles and we anticipate there may be more opportunities in the future. Although, we are our own not for profit organisation, we still match a number of the NHS Agenda For Change conditions, including the NHS Pension scheme so, in joining us, you do get the best of both worlds.

If you are aspirational and want to be a part of a team focussed on excellence in MSK clinical care we would like to hear from you. Please email via.viaductcarehr@nhs.net if you have any queries about the roles.

Interview date: Tuesday 6th July 2021
