Are you interested in working in our innovative, supportive and friendly therapy team, working generically with Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists to improve patient's functional ability and outcomes? This post could be for you!

The Therapy Assistant Practitioner will demonstrate good communication, organisation, clinical reasoning and prioritisation skills and have a positive attitude towards team working. They will be flexible and adaptable and able to problem solve effectively. Supervision of Bands 2 and 3 Therapy Support staff will be required. The role is for 37.5 hours a week.

The candidate will support Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy in the acute setting. To provide patient centred assessment and treatment to improve patients functional outcomes and discharge from hospital to the right place at the right time. There will be the opportunity to support patients discharge with Discharge to Assess.

We provide support to avoid hospital admissions, and if an admission is necessary, we try to make each patient’s stay in hospital as short and effective as possible before working with them on a safe discharge home.
