We have vacancy within our team for Band 6 RMN , the team has a passion to provide quality care to our patients. We welcome applicants for full-time or part time

Based at the Neville Centre at Leicester General Hospital, and currently a Monday to Friday 09:00 to 17:00 service, the team of Band 6 RMNs, supported by a Band 7 Service Lead and our admin staff, covers the Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland area. Travel is minimized by the use of remote working where possible. As part of MHSOP community services our nurse-led team accesses medical support from the wider service.

Our team has a dual remit:

  • To triage referrals into MHSOP,
  • And to provide a timely response to address immediate risk.

This major aspect of our service involves carrying out a thorough mental health assessment, and liaising with other health and social care professionals as required in order to meet the needs of our patients. The team works with patients with organic and functional illness, and our involvement is short-term. Each day is varied and at times challenging, but above all is extremely rewarding.

You will need to possess sound clinical skills and the ability to formulate collaborative care plans. A high standard of written and verbal communication is essential. A full UK driving license is also essential for this post

We are currently engaged with our colleagues within the Mental Health Directorate of Leicestershire Partnership Trust in our Step up to Great strategy, as we seek to develop and transform mental health services. You will be involved in these exciting new developments.
