Consultant Paediatric Cardiologist

Applications are invited for Consultant Paediatric Cardiologists x2 to join our team with a particular applications from those specialising in transition care or electrophysiology

You will join a team of 12 other Paediatric Cardiologists, 3 congenital surgeons and a team of 11 Paediatric Intensivists here at the East Midlands Congenital Heart Centre.

This is an exciting time to join the team with the service moving from Glenfield Hospital to a new bespoke newly built center at the Leicester Royal Infirmary site in Summer 2021.

In 2019-2020 we achieved 383 surgical cases and 200 catheter interventions. Glenfield Hospital has since become one of the world’s busiest extra corporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) centres and the only hospital in the UK to provide ECMO therapy for both adults and children. We have a dedicated East Midland Network and at the level 1 center, and conduct clinics in 10 regional hospitals to support our patients.
