An opportunity has arisen for a full time Junior ICT Technical Assurance role on a fixed term contract until June 2022 here at Solent NHS Trust.

The position will be based from our head office at Highpoint, Bursledon Road, but there will be a requirement to travel to other Solent sites.For this post, you will need to hold a full UK driving licence and have access to the use of a car.

The job role will require the successful candidate:

  • To act as Junior Technical Assurance for Solent NHS and to ensure the ICT Technical Infrastructure is maintained to a standard structured framework.

  • Assist Project Managers in assuring the technical solutions provided by technical suppliers are implemented and compliant with the framework.

  • Work to identify/analyse and support technical issues raised by strategic Managed Service Partners or other external technical stakeholders

  • Assure proposed new technical acquisitions will function against the Technical Architecture providing clear recommendations were necessary.

  • Provide advice on general security matters relating to ICT and Information Management Reporting.

  • Ensures specialist or complex ICT information is processed in accordance with policies & procedures.

  • To work with the strategic Managed Service Partner in managing escalated issues.

  • Escalate technical and security issues to the TDA when necessary.

The post holder has operational responsibility for ensuring the delivery of solutions are approved by the TDA. The post holder is expected to identify failings and formulate rectification proposals.

The ICT Team support and advise on all matters relating to IT, including; laptops, desktops, telephones, helpdesk services as offering service engagement, deliver IT projects and provide technical assurance for all staff.
