Administrative Assistant

Band 2 Permanent- Part-time Post

Would you like to help make a difference to children and families living in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland? We at Leicestershire Partnership Trust have exciting opportunities for one full-time administrative staff to join the Child Health Record Department.

Ensuring every child has the best start in life is important for good health and wellbeing throughout life. The role of the administrative assistant is key in supporting a high quality, responsive and co-ordinated service for children aged 0-19 years.

The following skills areessentialto the role:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good general level of education including GCSE in English Language grade C or equivalent. Evidence of this qualification is required.
  • Previous experience in an administrative role, working in a busy office environment.
  • Good working knowledge and experience of using Microsoft Office packages.
  • Experience of providing excellent customer service.
  • NVQ 2 in administration or able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge and experience.
  • Highly motivated individual to deal with repetitive and monotonous duties and tasks.

You will need to demonstrate previous experience of working with confidential information, showing attention to detail, and maintaining accuracy at all times. Your ability to work using your own initiative is essential, whilst understanding the importance of adhering to Trust Policies and local procedures.

Operating System One, a national NHS electronic patient record system, is a key requirement of this role, and whilst full training will be provided, there is an expectation that applicants would need to be skilled and confident in adapting to work with complex electronic systems.

In addition, there may be a requirement to work flexibly in terms of working hours and locations. The 0-19 clinical teams are moving towards a 7am to 8pm Monday to Sunday service. It is not expected that administrative staff will be required to work all of these hours but there could be a need for administrative cover to be provided during these hours on occasion. The post holders will initially be based at Bridge Park Plaza, Thurmaston, but dependent upon service need, there could be a requirement for the post holders to be relocated to alternative neighbourhood sites.

Shortlisted applicants will be invited to undertake an Assessment Test on Wednesday 23rd June 2021 via MS Teams. If you are successful, you will then be invited to attend an interview on Tuesday 29th June 2021 via MS Teams.
