We have an exciting opportunity for a paediatric Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join our integrated children’s therapy service on a part time basis (27.75 p/week).

The Children’s Therapy service in the North of Hampshire is based over two sites, Aldershot Centre for Health and Adelphi House in Basingstoke. The service is delivered within clinics, homes, nurseries, mainstream and special schools.

The role will primarily be within mainstream schools and early years and will be to provide assessment, recommendations, and therapy interventions for children on a shared caseload. This will include working with Speech and Language Therapy Assistants to provide coaching to families and other professionals to support children’s communication skills. Our mainstream schools have named therapists and therefore the successful candidate would have the opportunity to build relationships with school staff to jointly support children’s communication.

We are currently in a time of transformation and the successful candidate will have opportunity to help shape our service and implement different ways of working. The successful candidate will be supported to develop their skills and knowledge in performance management processes. This is an exciting time to join our service and be part of a forward thinking team.

We are an experienced and supportive team that has excellent working relationships with early years, schools, health and social care colleagues allowing us to share our expertise more widely and create innovative ways of working together to better meet the needs of the child and their family/ carers.
