The Southampton CAMHS team has embraced their transformation journey over recent years in line with Future in Mind priorities, CYP IAPT principles and the NHS Long Term Plan. We continue to work closely and collaboratively with partners across the City as we embed our changes and review our next steps.

As part of this Solent NHS Trust recognises the important and pivotal role integrated governance plays to ensure the best outcomes for children and young people. We are therefore looking to recruit a Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist to drive up quality and deliver expert evidence based clinical practice for the benefit of children and young people accessing our services.

We are embarking on exciting times with the expansion of CAMHS provision through our partnership with New Care Models, alongside in City expansion with our multi agency CAMHS service – BRS (Building Resilience and Strength). This brings new and exciting career opportunities for Therapists.The service will be utilising your experience, expertise and senior leadership to advise upon and influence our next steps in service transformation.

Your role will ensure that you have the appropriate mix of clinical work, alongside leadership activities and the delivery of clinical supervision to trainees and other disciplines in the service line. This is an exciting post which will appeal to colleagues committed to improving the mental health of children and young people. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic and highly motivated to provide evidence based psychotherapeutic interventions within a changing environment and have proven experience of co-production in service design and delivery.
