Specialty Doctor – Community Paediatrics

This is a 10 PA post, 12 month fixed term contract starting in September 2021.

The Specialty Doctor role would suit a paediatric trainee taking a year out of programme, or a paediatrician returning to practice after a career break. You will undertake a mixture of general paediatric and neurodevelopmental clinics, and contribute to the child protection service.

Working in partnership with other organisations, as well as with our primary care colleagues and specialist services, we provide great care which keeps our patients at the heart of everything we do.

We are looking to recruit to an enthusiastic Specialty Doctor to complement and work as part of our integrated Community Paediatric Medical team, delivering general Paediatrics, Looked After Children’s clinical and neurodevelopment clinics and actively participate in child protection work through a duty rota.

You will be joining us at an important time in our development, as we are committed to the delivery of the transformation programme which sets out the vision for integrated services across a number of partner organisations including multi-disciplinary meetings with our GPs and acute Paediatricians in Southampton City cluster hubs. This exciting role requires an individual with strong clinical leadership, General Paediatrics/neurodevelopment skills and a passion for working with children and families.
