B7 MSK First Contact Physiotherapist

Solent’s MSK First Contact Physiotherapy (FCP) Service is expanding! We now have an exciting new opportunity for a highly skilled, experienced, and motivated musculoskeletal physiotherapist to join our established team, led by expertly trained Advanced Practice Clinicians, in delivering MSK FCP clinics to a growing number of Primary Care Networks across Hampshire.

Our FCP model of care ensures timely access to appropriate MSK assessment and management, as well as streamlining our well-established MSK pathways and supporting the transformation of musculoskeletal care. As a service, we fully recognise the value of and support the development of all pillars of Advanced Clinical Practice. Our FCP clinicians are key to shaping our service as it grows, and are actively involved in governance, clinical effectiveness, research, and Quality Improvement projects.

Our FCP Service forms parts of a fully integrated wider MSK Physiotherapy, Pain and Podiatry (MPP) Service, accepting FCP, GP & self-referral. Many of our FCP clinicians perform dual-roles, enabling them to also continue to deliver treatment/rehab within MSK Physiotherapy or provide specialist diagnostic and care pathway planning for patients with complex MSK disorders across our Lower Limb, Spinal and Upper Limb pathways, depending on their area of interest and skillset. We also have a variety of other specialities within the MSK service including: Pelvic Health, Hydrotherapy, Rheumatology, Adolescent MSK, Persistent Pain, Podiatry, Long-Covid Management, and have excellent working relationships with our local primary and secondary care providers.

Are you:

  • Already working at an Advanced Practitioner level, or actively working towards achieving the level of expertise required?

  • Experienced in delivering high quality, evidence based musculoskeletal care through a variety of consultation methods including virtual appointments?

  • Interested in being part of an innovative, expanding service with opportunities to also work some of your hours within either the MSK physiotherapy or Specialist MSK team?

If so, then this could be the perfect opportunity for you!
