£31,365 - £37,890 per annum pro rata

Lundy ward are looking for a Band 6 registered nurse or a highly skilled band 5 with the enthusiasm to take on a new challenge for our general surgical ward. This post will include exposure to expanding your leadership and trainer skills. The working hours are 30 per week.

The candidate will need to possess an interest in education and clinical training, as part of this role involves providing clinical training for the surgery department, having support from the clinical tutors in the trust. It is anticipated that undertaking training will be part of your role one day a week however this is subject to flexibility and demand. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has an interest in education, clinical development and inspiring others.

Lundy ward is a highly functioning award winning and caring multi-disciplinary team, who pride themselves on the delivery of quality, safe and compassionate care. The speciality provides specialised care to patients undergoing surgery.We are an 11-13 bedded elective surgical ward and we offer surgery in a variety of specialities which include urology, gynaecology and colorectal as well as general surgery. The role will include providing preoperative and postoperative care for patients undergoing surgery following the green hospital pathway.

Staffs are focused on helping their patientsto regain independence following their operation. The depth and strength to its skill set supported by nurses, nursing associates, HCAs, clinical educator, therapists, ACPs and medical staff who collectively drive patient centred innovation. A current and valid NMC registration is required for this nursing post and all posts include a commitment to work days, nights, weekends, and bank holidays as necessary to meet the needs of the service.
