Salary: £7,504.64 per annum

Based on 16 hrs per week to be worked flexibly in accordance with the needs of service

About the Role:

Our patients are at the heart of everything we do at Mountbatten Hampshire (formerly Countess Mountbatten Hospice) and we pride ourselves on delivering the highest standard of care and support to people approaching the end of life and those closest to them. We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our Housekeeping team in providing a clean and welcoming environment for patients, families, visitors, employees, and volunteers.

The successful candidate will be an integral part of the Mountbatten Hampshire team delivering an outstanding housekeeping and laundry service, which is key in the prevention and control of infection for our patients and visitors.

You will be part of a weekly rota, ensuring that all areas of the hospice are cleaned to meet our high standards, including undertaking deep cleaning of designated areas. You will work flexibly to meet the needs of the service which may include, weekends or bank holidays. There is also an opportunity to work additional bank housekeeping hours.

About you:

You will have previous experience of providing a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene within a caring and person-centred care service. Previous experience of working within a similar healthcare environment is essential, e.g. Hospital or residential/nursing home. Previous experience of using industrial cleaning and laundry equipment would be an advantage.

As this role will involve providing housekeeping services to our clinical areas, confidentiality must always be maintained, and the successful candidates will be required to ensure they work in a sensitive, compassionate, and professional manner.

The successful candidate will have good communication skills and be a team player with the ability to work with minimal supervision, once full training has been completed.
