The post offers the opportunity for a motivated, enthusiastic individual with masters level qualification or relevant experience to provide leadership for the development and implementation of Solent’s long-term diagnostic strategy within the Primary Care Service Line.

Service Summary

The Primary Care Service Line is comprised on

  • MPP Service, which encompasses the MSK (Musculoskeletal), Podiatry and Pain services for Portsmouth, Southampton, South East Hants and Fareham and Gosport. These teams provide physiotherapy, specialist physiotherapy services, podiatry, pain management and chronic fatigue syndrome clinics across these areas in the community.

  • Solent GP Practice, based at Adelaide Health Centre and Nicholstown Surgery, Southampton

  • Homeless Health providing healthcare to the homeless across Southampton City.

As a senior and experienced manager, the post holder will be required to provide professional and strategic leadership and support to the service line professional leads, Corporate leads as well as providing advice to other stakeholders.

The Primary Care Service Line is the largest user of Solent commissioned diagnostic services and as such the post holder would be integral to the implementation and delivery of the national and regional integration agenda, and Trust strategies and workforce plans relating to Diagnostics

  • Ability to present highly complex information to professional and public groups
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across a range of agencies.
