We are looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic, motivated and flexible Healthcare Support Worker to join our integrated sexual health service on a part time basis, for 30 hours p/week.

We provide screening and treatment of sexually transmitted infections, HIV care and contraception to a diverse population of clients. Although based at The Royal South Hants Hospital in Southampton, you will be expected to work in sexual health clinics across South East Hampshire and on occasion, Hampshire-wide, dependent on the needs of the service.

For this post, you will need to hold a full UK driving licence and have access to the use of a car.

The successful candidate may have some previous experience working as a Healthcare Support Worker or in a sexual health environment but people skills and a willingness to learn are paramount.

Adaptability is essential in an ever-changing service. The successful candidate will also demonstrateexcellent written and verbal communication skills, their abilityto work as part of a close-knit team and an understanding of the importance of putting clients at the centre of their care.

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to phlebotomy, chaperoning clinical staff, restocking, some admin and reception duties and supporting the rest of the team to run an efficient service.

In return you will become a valued member of a team known for its innovation and high standard of care. You will be supported to complete in house training by a line manager andHCSW 'mentor'. You will have regularone to one meetings and appraisals to monitor your progress and development needs. In addition, the service offers regular education sessions and clinical supervision.
