Dorset HealthCare are seeking to recruit a highly motivated Registered General Nurse who is currently practicing in the field of Infection Prevention and Control (IPC). This is an exciting opportunity to work with the IPC Team and the Director of Infection Prevention and Control (DIPC) in a community and mental health trust. The successful candidate must hold a recognised qualification in infection prevention; have significant clinical practice in this field with experience of working alongside an Infection Prevention Team.

If you are an experienced clinical manager with experience of working in infection prevention and control but do not hold the qualifications please apply as support can be given to gaining an IPC qualification for the right candidate.

The successful candidate will contribute to the development of the IPC service and offer specialist expert advice, in the field of IPC. Where appropriate you will deputise for the Deputy DIPC when required and provide direct line management and budgetary responsibility to the IPC Team. The successful candidate will work both autonomously and as part of our team, striving to minimise risk from healthcare associated infection. The post holder will be responsible for, and lead, a small team of Nurses.

You will support, develop and implement systems to improve the quality of IPC management, by the delivery of national directives to develop local quality, patient safety and safe systems of working for staff.

Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. The DBS levies a charge of £40 and the Trust will recover this cost in instalments from your first 3 salary payments.
