We are looking for aspiring Assistant Psychologists to apply for our posts which may be in Adult Inpatient, Physical Health, Neuropsychological or CAMHS settings.

All 8 posts will be fixed-term for 12 months and part-time (15 hours/two days a week) but we may be able to alter these hours to suit caring or other work responsibilities or for successful candidates to be offered more than one post and increase their working hours to 30 or even 37.5 hours.

The posts may be anywhere in the county including Lincoln, Sleaford, Boston and Grantham. Successful applicants will be line managed and clinically supervised by HCPC registered Clinical Psychologists.

These posts are suitable for recent psychology graduates and those with limited experience. We would like to especially encourage those who have not had opportunities for voluntary experience due to caring responsibilities, inequality or disadvantage to apply.

Applicants must understand that they are applying for generic assistant psychologist posts that may be in any one of a number of our services including adult inpatient, crisis and home treatment, physical health, adolescent secure, neuropsychology and CAMHS.

When applying think about the generic skills and knowledge you have gained from your degree and life experiences rather than any particular service that may offer you a post if successful.

When completing the application you must make clear in the first paragraph of your supporting statement how your life experience makes you a suitable candidate for this role that is funded by HEE – this may include that you have no prior experience as a voluntary or paid assistant psychologist, that you have experienced disadvantage in your life circumstances or through caring responsibilities and/or that your employment would aid diversity in the profession. Applicants that do not include this information will not be shortlisted.

We offer 24 hour services within our Inpatient, Crisis and SPA teams, if you are successfully appointed to posts in these areas or others that might have specified, you will be required to work unsociable hours and shift patterns.

Preference will be given to NHS colleagues who are currently 'at risk' and meet the minimum criteria of the Job Description & Person Specification.
