Volunteer Ward Helper (Adult)

Location: Green Parks House, Princess Royal University Hospital Farnborough Common, Orpington Kent BR6 8NY

This is an exciting Volunteering Opportunity working within the Adult Mental Health Wards. You must have experience of working with or caring for patients with mental illness and could assist the nursing staff with activities, chatting to patients and on occasion escorting patients to local shops.

This position is for applicants who live within a radius of 6 miles of Green Parks House, Princess Royal University Hospital Farnborough. Volunteers should be willing to commit their time for at least 6 months to one year. Out of pocket expenses will be paid.

The Voluntary Service Department is part of the Trust and is situated in the Memorial Hospital and covers our elderly mental health patients and part of the adult mental health services in Greenwich. Volunteers are valued members of the Trust and make a difference in many areas by supporting patients and staff in various ways. An opportunity has now arisen for a volunteer in the above post.
