Due to an expansion in the Hepatology Nursing Team we have an exciting opportunity for a Band 4 Hepatology Nursing Associate position. In this role the successful candidate will perform fibroscans and be involved with testing and treating of viral hepatitis C. Additional to this they will work as part of the hepatology nursing team, delivering an effective and efficient service within the settings of outpatients, community clinics, HMP Exeter and inpatient care.

We are looking for a motivated, dynamic person, with a genuine interest in liver disease to join the Hepatology Team. Full training will be given. This will take place in the clinical setting with a vision to deliver services in the community. It will be expected to complete documentation in the form of clinical letters, updating databases and multi-disciplinary documents.

The Exeter Hepatology Nursing Service was established in 2001. This is an expanding and progressive service that delivers safe and effective specialized nursing care to patients with a wide range of liver diseases. You will be well supported by the Hepatology Nursing Team. Robust training will be provided, underpinned by job specific competencies. However previous experience and knowledge of the complex nature of hepatology patients would be advantageous.

You must be self-motivating, enthusiastic, organized, computer literate and able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills with a commitment to continued personal development.
