At Leeds Community Healthcare Trust we are looking for applications from experienced staff and offer a package of induction for staff who are successfully appointed.
You will work as a CAMHS practitioner within a hybrid model with the opportunity to work virtually from home and in one of our bases across Leeds. Leeds CAMHS is a multi-disciplinary service which offers assessment and treatment to young people and families with a range of mental health difficulties. You will work as part of a wider multi-disciplinary team, working within clinical pathways and offering for example, assessment, consultation and/or brief intervention. In this ACBI model you would be required to offer brief therapeutic interventions.
You will work closely alongside other mental health practitioners to assess, plan, deliver and evaluate client care and interventions at a specialist level. You will be responsible for holding a clinical caseload aim ing to reduce the impact of mental health and/or neuro-developmental difficulties in young people and assist in their CAMHS journey. You will work with your colleagues on the duty Rota.
We would welcome applicants from clinicians with training in a specific modality for example CBT, IPT or Family Therapy. We would also welcome applicants who have experience in the assessment of neurodevelopment disorders.
This post is open to all staff with a professional qualification and we would welcome applications from Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Social workers and other professions.
To join us in this role you will need to demonstrate working knowledge of mental health difficulties experienced by children and young people. Experience of multi-agency and team working as well as the ability to work autonomously, essential for this role.
You will need to be able to travel independently across the city. The service currently runs Monday to Friday 9 - 5.

If you are successful in being offered a position which involves working with patients, you will be required to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. The level of check required is dependent upon the position that you have applied for. The Trust will administer the DBS check on your behalf and will recover the cost from your salary. There will be no charge if you are enrolled in the DBS Update Service.
