An exciting opportunity has arisen within South Tyneside Community Treatment Teams for the role of Community Practitioner. We are looking to recruit a caring and compassionate community clinician with excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work as part of our multi-disciplinary team offering assessment and treatment to clients experiencing moderate to severe mental health difficulties. Your responsibilities will include assessment and treatment of clients experiencing mental health difficulties, working closely with families and other professionals.

Our team is divided into psychosis and non-psychosis pathways but there is an expectation that you will have skills and knowledge in working with a wide range of mental health difficulties. The role requires an element of autonomous working and leadership skill and you must be able to demonstrate a strong commitment to the delivery of high quality, safe and effective care and treatment.

It is essential that you have a professional qualification in the field of health and social care and registered with the relevant professional body.

We provide excellent training opportunities to allow you to deliver NICE guidance treatment. You will work closely with the Multi-Disciplinary team including CPN’s, Occupational Therapists, Psychology/Psychological Therapist, Consultant Psychiatrist, Clinical Support Assistants and Peer Support Workers.
