We are in search of a dynamic nursing leader to meaningfully engage the clinical workforce to shape drive forward our digital developments.

Our Trust has an ambitious digital transformation strategy and for its successful implementation it is important that all decision-making is clinically led, and that patient experience and clinical safety underpins the digital transformation programme.

The Chief Nursing Information Officer (CNIO) will take a strategic digital leadership role supporting the Trust’s strategic objectives and Nursing, Midwifery and Allied Health Professions Vision to facilitate the delivery of excellent, safe patient care through the digitalisation of services and service delivery. The CNIO is predominately a transformational role, pioneering new ways of working and the “art of the possible”. They will lead on the promotion, innovation and transformation of clinical services through the use of information and technologies across nursing, midwifery and allied health professionals’ workforces to support and improve:

  • Patient outcomes and efficiency.
  • Integrated care across partners and commissioners.
  • Digital empowerment of patients we serve and the wider Cornish population.

Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, the CNIO will work closely with the Joint Director Nursing, Midwifery and Allied Health Professions (Chief Nurse).

We are looking for an exceptional registered nurse who can take on this flexible part-time role. You need to be educated to Master’s level and have recent professional experience in the digital / eHealth world. Clinically credible, they will have established management experience, ideally project management experience. They will be able to completely present to small and large groups; negotiate and foster consensus; lead meetings and projects effectively; and produce high quality reports.
