Are you an experienced Paediatric Emergency Nurse looking for a new challenge?

Do you want to join our friendly and motivated multidisciplinary team?

We are currently recruiting a dedicated and enthusiastic nurse for the band 6 Deputy Sister/Charge Nurse role. We are looking for experienced nurses with strong clinical knowledge, excellent communication skills and a passion for emergency care.

Our Emergency Department at University Hospitals of Leicester is a vibrant, diverse and rewarding environment. We are one of the largest and busiest Children’s Emergency Departments in England. In 2017 we moved to our purpose built department that includes a 12 bedded Short Stay Unit.

Our patients and staff are at the forefront of everything we do. We hold regular staff engagement forums enabling staff to be involved in decision making that affects them and their patients. We strive to provide high level care to children and their families

Due to our links with the local Universities and our dedicated multi-disciplinary education team we are able to offer tailor made education and development packages. We have access to a wide range of in house and nationally accredited courses. We have a dedicated Paediatric Nurse Educator and we regularly deliver simulations within the department. We also have access to the Emergency Nurse Practitioner (ENP) and Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) programmes.
