Band 6 Specialist Community Public Health Nurse – Heath Visitor

This is an exciting challenge for motivated and innovative Health Visitors to join our experienced skill mixed 0-19 teams based in Banstead & Tattenham and Mole Valley (Dorking & Leatherhead) in the South East Quadrants.

The Health Visiting Team are looking for individuals to support families from various ethnicities including ethnic minorities such as Pakistanis, Polish and families from travelling communities.

There are two Full time position available, working between the hours of 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday however Part-time hours will also be considered for the right candidate.

The perfect candidates for our teams would be clinical practitioners with leadership and excellent interpersonal and communication skills. We look for individuals with a strong approach to teamwork, those who demonstrate initiative, a good understanding of children, young people and their families and ability to support families from a diverse population within the borough.

Our teams offer good leadership, friendly working teams, good admin support; skill mixed teams and professional support by the teams. We also have good working relationships with partner agencies such as midwifery colleagues from acute hospitals, social care, safeguarding and colleagues from Surrey County Care at the family centres.

We are committed to professional development, have an invigorating training plan and an active health visitor forum.We have an excellent preceptorship model to support newly qualified health visitors. Our training covers safeguarding, clinical skills and knowledge and we also work closely with the Institute of Health Visiting where we are offered courses in Infant Mental Health.

To those looking for self-progression we offer strong Leadership Programmes. You will also be supported by our clinical specialists, clinical team leaders, service managers and our safeguarding team to provide excellent professional practice and to further develop your skills and knowledge.
