£31,365 to £37,890 per annum

Due to maternity leave we are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated, proactive, resourceful Dietitian to join our team to in a busy Dietetic department until approximately Aug 2022.

The post holders will be a key member of the Dietetic team providing Dietetic care of children and young people requiring dietetic input to manage their clincial condition. This will be delivered under the supervision and guidance of the Band 7s.

The ideal candidate will havesome paediatric experience, however consideration will be given to an enthusiastic band 5 dietitians who can demonstrate the relevant skills and knowledge required for this post and wish to develop paediatric experience.

The candidate must be a motivated, enthusiastic, innovative and proactive individual with excellent communication skills, plus have as well as a caring and compassionate approach to supporting children, young people and their families. The ability to work as an integral team member is essential.

The post focuses on general dietetic input to both in and out patients, it will form part of an evolving rotation. You will cover general paediatrics for in patients and out patients and in specialist paediatric dietetics including the areas of medicine, surgery, allergy, oncology, gastroenterology, with the support and supervision of Band 7 dietitians. Additionally you will be supporting the dietetic team to meet the demands of the service.

The department will provide support for your training and are strongly committed to Continuing Professional Development and Clinical Governance.

Supervision and training will be provided and you will be supported by a dedicated team of dietitian’s to ensure you develop to reach your full potential. We also have an active clinical and peer supervision programme within the department.

We currently provide training for dietetic students on their A and B placement and you would be expected to help facilitate this within the dietetic team.

This is customarily payable over 4 months as a salary deduction once employed by the Trust. If you receive a conditional offer letter, complete your DBS application and later withdraw from the recruitment process, an invoice will be raised via the Trust's finance department to recoup the outlay.
