An exciting opportunity has arisen for three full time Family Nurses to join the Family Nurse Partnership (FNP) Team to work within Wandsworth. These posts are currently 12 month fixed term contracts, with the scope of an extension. FNP trained applicants is preferable but not essential, as full training will be provided by the FNP National Unit.

 

The Family Nurse Partnership is an evidenced based home visiting programme for first time mothers. The programme is designed to support and improve the health, wellbeing and social outcomes of young mothers and their children.

 

This is a specialist role which requires high standards of professional practice, excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.

 

The Post holder is required to be a registered Nurse, Midwife or Health Visitor, have a minimum of 2 years’ experience working in the community and with complex families. A sound knowledge of safeguarding and the Healthy Start Programme is desirable. Candidate must have access to a car.

 

The post holder will be committed to principles and core model elements of the Family Nurse Partnership Programme.

 

The Interviews will be held the week commencing the 17/05/2021. The interview will be in the form of an assessment, including an unseen presentation. This will be followed by a virtual panel interview consisting of; the FNP Supervisor, The Wandsworth Locality Lead and the Named Nurse for Safeguarding. An FNP Client may also be present.

 

The successful candidates (if not already FNP qualified) will be required to complete training. If training can be face to face this will be held at Yarnfield Park Centre, Stone, Staffordshire, ST15 0NL (which we are hopeful of) it will be 12th-16th July 2021. If it turns out training needs to be virtual the dates will be 12th-14th July 2021and then 19th-21st July 2021.

 

Applicants need not apply if unable to take part in this training. We will not be able to offer a different date during the time of the fixed term/secondment therefore, you would not be able to complete the training fully.
