The BRC brings together the work of Respiratory Medicine, Cardiovascular Science, Diet, Lifestyle and Physical Activity.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a midwife to work predominantly within our Maternity Day Unit.

We are seeking to recruit an experienced Midwife to provide specialist expertise to clients in the antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal period, delivering high quality, evidence based care to women and acting as an advocate for women within the Maternity Day Unit (MDU).

MDU is a fast paced environment staffed by a team of enthusiastic and dedicated midwives who show a commitment to prioritising care whilst working in partnership with women and the wider team. This enables the team to support the vision of continuity, choice and exemplary midwifery care for women and their families according to the NGH Trust values.

The successful candidate will play an active role in the day to day running of MDU. Being able to prioritise and time mange work load in this fast paced environment is essential. You will be required to exhibit excellent communication skills and an ability to develop sound working relationships with women and colleagues within and external to the trust.

Full flexibility will be required in a working roster period

We are seeking enthusiastic, motivated and flexible individuals who have a passion for midwifery. The successful candidate will have relevant clinical experience as a midwife, be able to evidence professional integrity and an honest approach to embracing new and exciting opportunities and challenges that will be obtainable as they become part of the MDU team.
