Applications are invited for consultant posts in Clinical Genetics and Genomic Medicine.

These exciting new posts will be based in the Clinical Genetics Department at Great Ormond Street Hospital within the North East Thames Regional Genetics Service.

We are seeking enthusiastic individuals with a passion for genomic medicine to help drive the development of genomic medicine services and contribute to our Clinical Genetics team.

We are advertising a full time 10 PA post and a part-time 6 PA post. One of the successful candidates will be contributing 4-6 PA to our cancer Genetics service. The successful candidates will be expected to work closely with Laboratory colleagues to promote genomics and have an opportunity to develop a specialist interest that complements the expertise currently within the service. The postholders will have a full clinical commitment and will be expected to take an active role in the programme of audit, clinical governance, teaching and research within the department.

The successful candidate will possess a CCST/CCT in Clinical Genetics (or be within six months of obtaining their CCST/CCT award at the time of application). There is no on call commitment with these posts.

We are also advertising a fixed term 4 PA role as Medical Director of the North Thames Genomic Laboratory Service. This role is open to Clinical Geneticists and other physicians with expertise and experience in Genomics.
