Permanent/Fixed term/Secondment opportunities

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a self- motivated, organised, and excellent communicator to join the Multi-Professional Education and Quality Team. We are looking for individuals who are passionate in providing high quality learning to all our students and Trainee’s. The Practice Learning Facilitator will report to the Practice Learning Manager. The post holder will work closely within the team, facilitating learning and development of pre and post graduate learners in partnership with clinical staff and local universities.

We are looking for registered health care professionals with experience of working in Mental Health/Adults/Families, Young People and Children’s services. The post holder will be required to demonstrate positive leadership skills, adopt a visible and accessible approach whilst building strong relationships with clinical teams and partner universities. This will ensure the development and maintenance of positive practice learning environments.

This role is pivotal in facilitating and co - coordinating Nursing and Allied Health Professional (AHP) practice learning, including placement capacity and supporting clinical staff to supervise and assess students in accordance with Nursing and Midwifery Council /Health Care Professionals Council educational standards.


This is an exciting time to join the team, with the NHS People Plan as a driver for change and Health Education England funded projects underway, for Clinical Placement Expansion Programmes in Nursing and AHP across the Leicester Leicestershire and Rutland system. The role will also include opportunity to be involved with any development activity relating to placement expansion and other work streams as part of the wider Learning & Development Plan.
