**Remote Working Opportunity**

TalkingSpace Plus is an Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) service in Oxfordshire delivering cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and other evidence-based psychological interventions, through a stepped care treatment model to people in the community with common mental health problems. To support our continued expansion, we have been developing pathways in working with patients with anxiety and/or depression and living with long term physical health conditions such as cardiac disease. We have also recently expanded our offer of employment support services.

This post holder will be an experienced psychological therapist working within the Improving Access to Psychological Therapies Programme (IAPT) providing high-intensity interventions and supervision.

As part of our development, we are seeking to recruit:

A BABCP Accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist who has completed a BABCP accredited course in evidence-based talking therapy and has significant experience of working in a primary care setting or

A Clinical / Counselling Psychologist with CBT experience and working towards BABCP accreditation.

TalkingSpace Plus continues to develop and build on its excellent reputation of delivering high quality NICE recommended treatment in partnership with Oxfordshire Mind and Principal Medical Limited.

Our staff benefit from supervision, CPD and a range of training opportunities to support career progression and have links with the Oxford Centre for Psychological Health that includes Oxford Centre for Cognitive Therapy (OCTC) and Oxford Institute for Clinical Psychology Training, which is hosted by the Trust. We actively encourage innovation and research with opportunities for collaborations with Oxford Academic Health Science Network, University of Oxford Department of Psychiatry and Department of Experimental Psychology.

The role includes both direct clinical work and support to the Step 2 staff and admin team to ensure the smooth and efficient delivery of initial contact with the TalkingSpace Plus service. It will involve supervision of clinical staff and provision of day supervision to all colleagues in the service as well as advice and guidance to other health professionals.

You will be required to liaise and consult with GP’s, Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners, Specialist Psychological Services professionals, Adult Mental Health Care Teams, and Older Peoples Community Mental Health Teams, counsellors, wellbeing staff and other statutory and voluntary agencies when necessary, with regards to patient management and care.

To work autonomously within professional and service guidelines and exercise responsibility for the governance of psychological practice within the service/team. To utilise research skills for audit, examination and research. To propose and implement policy changes within the area served by the team/service. To keep client records appropriately and submit activity and audit data as required.
