We are proud to have pioneered cutting edge surgical techniques, being one of the first centres in the UK to perform the laparoscopic Whipple Procedure. We also offer innovative cardiothoracic surgery and interventional procedures, as well as being a territory referral centre for obstetrics and gynaecology. We are recognised as one of the largest renal transplant centres in the UK and our hepatobiliary surgery services offer advanced laparoscopic surgery for pancreatic and liver tumours.

As a Band 5 staff nurse or operating department practitioner, you’ll undertake a rotational programme with supportive placements across a range of surgical areas such as theatres, cardiac catheter labs, labour wards, recovery areas, endoscopy and anaesthetics – and we’ll offer you the opportunity to secure a permanent position in the specialty that you love.

The specialisms available include endocrine surgery, obstetric, urology and renal, transplantation, general and complex gynaecology, cardiothoracic, interventional procedures and hepatobiliary – liver and pancreas and upper gastro-intestinal surgery.

Join our multidisciplinary team of skilled and motivated staff who provide a high quality of care to our patients, both NHS and private. We are committed to your professional development and will provide you with a range of education and in-house training and one to one coaching co-ordinated by a dedicated practice development nurse and senior nursing team.
