We provide out of hours (OOH) primary care and Extended Access appointments to the population of Cumbria (500,000 people over a land mass of 2,613 square miles), working out of 12 clinical sites. Our core bases are:

  • Wigton

CHoC have recently agreed a 6 month arrangement to provide general medical services at Windermere and Bowness Medical Practice. As a result of this we are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic receptionist to join the team.

We are looking who can be flexible where needed but will working every Monday (1 day a week) for 8 hours. There may also be opportunity for extra hours e.g. holiday and sickness cover.

The post would suit a individual with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, who enjoys working on their own initiative. You will demonstrate a professional and confidential approach at all times. You will be IT literate and be able to work accurately and prioritise your workload. Previous experience of reception work and/or work a medical environment is essential.

The role requires significant interaction with patients by phone as well as face to face so a friendly, helpful and professional approach is essential, coupled with a commitment to providing a high standard of service to our patients.
