Supporting the NHS Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCG) and Integrated Care System (ICS)

Role description

This is an exciting opportunity to become a member of the team supporting the CCGs and ICS in Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent with their communications and engagement service.

The post holder will work as part of a dynamic team in delivering an effective communications and engagement service, supporting managers, clinicians and staff across the organisations.

The role will currently be undertaken by working from home 37.5 hours per week due to COVID-19, but will require some working from offices within Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent and travel to meetings once the pandemic eases.

The job description and person specification included in this Job Advert are generic descriptions for individuals operating at this level in these types of roles. Key areas of focus for this role, include:

  • Providing expert communications and engagement advice and support
  • Developing and implementing plans for a variety of projects, including behavioural change campaigns, complex service changes and corporate priorities
  • Overseeing the production of internal and external newsletters, campaigns and events
  • Liaising with communication and engagement leads across the health and care system as part of the communications network
  • Linking in with the ICS to help in delivering communications and engagement work across the system
  • Coordinating and drafting publications, including annual reports
  • Line management responsibility and deputising for senior communications and engagement leads when needed
  • Assisting the team with developing content and managing a range of digital channels including social media, videos and websites
  • Supporting the delivery of events including the Annual General Meeting and engagement events.

The post holder will have line management responsibility and be someone with extensive experience working in communications and engagement. The post holder will be someone with drive and ambition, able to assist in bringing about change across complex systems.
