The Arthroplasty Nurse Practitioner role is essential for the elective orthopaedic department at Charing Cross Hospital. The post holder will be the lead in collection and collation of data for mandatory clinical information such as PROMS, NJR and SSI. 

They will have a large part to play in monitoring, reporting and bench marking arthroplasty performance nationally. The post holder also focuses on discharge and follow up care in the management of SSI and undertakes Root Cause Analysis in identified patients. 

There is also a requirement for Trust level audits and sharing data in audit forums to review and improve practice and outcomes to benchmark against national data. They should be able to participate in patient telephone triage and follow up and advise patients in the safest and most appropriate way relevant to their problems.

They will demonstrate safe, clinical decision-making and expert care including pre-operative health advice to enable a reduction in length of hospital stay and provide specialist nursing advice to support and facilitate high quality, individualised care to patients/clients and relatives/carers without supervision in collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team.We would require a strong communicator with Orthopaedic experience and exceptional standards for patient experience.
